PZL P23A Karas (oz11340)
About this Plan
PZL P23A Karas. Walnut scale rubber model Polish WWII close-support aircraft.
Quote: "Designed for close support of Polish Army troops, the Karas (Crucian-carp) was powered by a Skoda built Bristol Pegasus. The craft Pres Bruning has drawn up belonged to #55 Squadron, Bomber Brigade and saw action during September 3 to 8, 1939.
Although Pres has included the color scheme on the plan, and shows the Bulgarian version, complete coloring and marking for Bulgarian, Roumanian, and Polish Air Force craft are to be found in Profile Publication #104. Judging from the contented smiles on the pusses of the flyers on the model plan it must be pre-September, 1939. This should make a very interesting World War Two subject. Never been built, to our knowledge. Go for it!"
Note this plan is a free download (see Plans Packet #1) from the Flying Aces website at http://flyingacesclub.com/wp/the-fac-library/plans-page-1/
Note model sketch is taken from cover of FAC Newsletter #74.

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
