Goticus (oz11215)
About this Plan
Goticus. A/2 glider model, with all-sheet Jedelsky wing.
Quote: "After a while without sending planes, today it is the turn of a very special one. It is the 'Goticus', a glider of my brother and I want it to be published in his memory. It was the consequence of having built and flown some Modelhob models Cierzo, with Jedelsky profile.
After these, Santiago built some KóC from Koelliker and after checking his excellent performance we decided to design an A2; that was the origin of the Goticus. It was a successful design with which Santiago was National Champion in 1978 and his plan was published by the Under-Secretary of Civil Aviation.
I am building the two models of Santiago insignias a KóC and a new Goticus. When I have finished I will send more photos. For the moment I sent you one of our friend Ignacio Colomo, with a Goticus built in 1979 and flown at the last meeting of our chapter SAM 71 last year [model photo]."

I am sending photos of the Goticus [more pics 003-016]. They include the day of the maiden flight, before the final finish, and Santiago's National Identity Marks, of his own design. Also photos of the Goticus in Toledo. It is a city that has many Gothic buildings, both the Florid Gothic and the Elizabethan Gothic, hence the name of the model. Near the spot where the Toledo photos were taken is a small hermitage, where Santiago and I grew up. By launching paper airplanes and seeing real aircraft evolve, the fondness for aeronautics and aeromodelling was born.Pajariperro - 15/07/2019
Thanks to my uncle for this article about my father.

Hello friends. Finally I found the photo of the same model and the same modeler, but this photo is 1979, and he is Ignacio with the same model but many years ago (Goticus) [more pics 017].

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
