About this Plan

Piper J-3 Cub. Rubber scale model.

Quote: "Dear Steve and Mary, this time I'm sending you the plan from a former free flight rubber scale model kit from the late MOBRAL model company from Sao Paulo (MOBRAL stands for Modelismo do Brasil), in this case the Piper J-3. This model has a wingspan of 21.75 inches.

This work was very well done by our great friend modeller and designer Sergio Daeuble. He took an original heliographic kit plan from the time and vectorized it in a very nice way.

Please also find attached pictures from the same model built personally by Sergio Dauble using the same plan work, that as you can see resulted in a very neat and very well made work [model photo & more pics 003, 004].

Thanks you very much for the excellent work made in Outerzone."

Did we get something wrong with these details about this plan (especially the datafile)? That happens sometimes. You can help us fix it.

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
