About this Plan
Faux-Num. Radio control sport model.
Quote: "Hello, I've never seen any plans or drawings to use for scratch building the 'Magnum' model design [see http://www.westonuk.co.uk/Magnum-R/] and would like to offer these files for posting on Outerzone. I like small, fast r/c models, this one ended up with a 32-1/4 wing span, the wing airfoil is a NACA low drag type that I've used before for flying fast. I kept the fin & stab flat sided for easy building, but have shown an airfoil type fin & stab also. I didn't show any servo tray or servo mounting because, I don't know where they will go until the model is framed up, but probably behind wing trailing edge. And.... About that overkill on the wing mounting, I had the images for the 1/4 in hardware already and kept it large for when I double size the model drawings for an old Rossi .40 & tuned pipe system I've got in the closet. Smaller hardware & a single dowel on something this small is more the normal. I did the best I could to make sure the parts are aligned correctly and fit properly, but please plan accordingly. I'm just an old r/c sport modeler who likes to fly fast & really... all this is, is just fancy mouse work!... lol Have a good one, I sure am! Merry Christmas & Best Wishes Jeff Green in Las Vegas."

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
