Pipe Dream (oz10914)
About this Plan
Byron Pipe Dream. Radio control sport model.
Quote: "If the Pipe Dream is your very first radio controlled model aircraft, the outlined information found on this page and page 2 may prove useful to help you understand the basic principles of transmitters, receivers, fequencies, servos, etc. For those of you who are veteran modelers, we suggest you move right on to the assembly process that begins on page 4..."
Quote: "The Pipe Dream has been designed to fly with a 2.0 cubic inch, two cycle engine. However it can be flown with a .61 engine. The three channel version has been flown with a K&B .61 two cycle engine and a Quadra 35 two cycle engine. If a four cycle engine is to be used, we do not recommend anything smaller than a .90..."

Hi Thanks for this wonderfull site. One question - this drawing are full size? I love this plane and I try to build one. Thanks again from Maracaibo Venezuela. PabloPAOF - 23/02/2019
Yes, the plan is full size at 83 inch wingspan. Of course the kit included ready-made foam wing panels, and also the ABS moulded parts that formed the fuselage pod. You'll have to fabricate these yourself from scratch. The manual is very detailed and will be helpful. Good luck with your build.

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
