Hi Steve, I cannot tell you how much I enjoy and appreciate your wonderful work in OUTERZONE. In fact, almost every single day I check in it just to see 'what's new'... Please find attached some photos of my Little Vagabond. You have both 'bare bones', as well as 'completed' photos of my RC-converted model. I even have an in-flight one although, admittedly, a poor one... but then, they were taken long ago, at a time 'auto-focus' was not a common commodity... Please feel free to use whichever ones you like to illustrate that plan. Well, having built that model almost 25 years ago, at a time there was no OZ site, I had to enlarge the original, reduced scale (1/5?), plan published on Aeromodeller by photocopying it 'a couple of times' till I got it to the correct size. I did a few mods, so I could fly it under RC. It was flown with just 2 ch (rudder and - single - elevator), as the engine - a genuine, vintage, ED Hornet (or Bee??) of 1.46cc had, naturally, no throttle control. It would run till it run out of fuel. The only other mods I did was to use larger engine mounting beams (3/8" X 3/8" beech ones), use heavier gauge piano wire for the u/c, put some balsa sheet at the front to reinforce the structure and replace the original balsa spars with white pine ones, as spruce was, and still is, hard to come by in Portugal. All the rest was, as far as I remember, according to plan. Thank you for your fantastic work - and long may it continue,

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
