About this Plan
Jimmy. Radio control sailplane, for 2 channels. Wingspan 1490mm.
Sheet 3 includes detailed build instructions and drawings.
Quote: "The Jimmy is a light weight glider that really flies well on the slope or off the high start. The kit includes exact hand cut balsa ribs, all other wood parts and control horns. Full size plans and building instructions are also included in the kit. After the building, covering with a plastic film is easy for this model."

Update 27/09/2018: Added ribs zipfile, thanks to DaveHarris.
Quote: "Hi Steve. As you say, that Jimmy glider you added the plan for today is definitely a nice one. I had a go at lofting the wing ribs, from the root section shown on the plan. I'm sending you two versions, one with the 'proper' metric sized materials (sheeting, spars, etc) and the other using the inch-sized wood that some of us have to use. I've included CAD and vector PDF files for each. Please let me know if you spot any mistakes and I'll try to fix them. Thanks again for OZ and everything you do for us modelers. Cheers, Dave"
Update 5/7/2022: Added decals plus cut sheets dxf, thanks to Alfons.
Supplementary file notes
Cut sheets (dxf) zipfile.

This is a nice one. Does anyone have a tracing of the ribs for this? Or maybe can plot out the other 6 ribs, given the main rib is shown on the plan?SteveWMD - 26/09/2018
I built this model way back in the early '80s when I was a young fitter in the RAF. I can confirm this is a lovely little model given that I lived in single airman's accommodation. I use to slope soar it off one of the grassed roofed hangars on the airfield at weekends, it was a lot of fun. I'm just really sorry I don't have the rib profiles for you.

G'day Steve, well, how fantastic, this was well worth the wait. Jimmy glider from Pilot, OK Models flew very well and I will enjoy rebuilding another. Many thanks to yourself and Outerzone - and to the person who posted it.

Hi There, Please find photos of my latest plane built from plans which I downloaded from your site [main pic, 006]. I have also included a sheet of decals I have made matching the originals as well as a .dxf for cut sheets of some of the balsa components. Been great fun and very nostalgic to build. Thanks so much for all you do for our hobby!

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
