About this Plan

Magnum Plus. Control line stunt model. Wing area 690 sq in, for .40 to .60 power.

Quote: "Steve / Mary, Some time ago I purchased a copy of the Magnum Plus plan. I had it scanned in order to edit it and make templates for parts. I attached both a copy of that original plan for you to look at, and the one I worked on for posting.

The Magnum Plus is a 59in wingspan stunter suited for a .40 to .60 sized engine. This plan features a built up wing with rib and control system locations shown. This plan / plane is a Sig Magnum inspired, modern stunt ship designed and collaborated on by Randy Smith and Tom Dixon (products for this plane are available through them. Their updated contact information is on the plans). There is no interchangeability with the Sig Magnum kit. Thank you, George"

I found three nice pictures for the Magnum Plus to accompany the plans I sent. The yellow airplane was built and flown by Dave Royer [model photo & more pics 003, 004]. The Red one by Steve Helmick [more pics 005] and renamed by him as the Mutant Magnum! [Photos found online on this Stunthanger thread about the Magnum Plus]

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
