About this Plan

RRG Falke R5. Free flight scale model glider.

The subject RRG Falke (Falcon) of 1930 was a secondary training glider designed by Alexander Lippisch in Germany. It was sold as plans for both club and commercial production and was built in Germany and abroad.

Quote: "Segelflugmodell Falke R5 von H Beerrlage u A Michalik Duisberg."

Note the plan shows general layout scaled to 40% of fullsize, but with formers at 100%.

Note it seems likely that there is a missing 2nd sheet which would show all the rib templates in full [edit: fixed now].

Update 30/10/2019: Added sheet 2, which shows wing ribs and other formers (also build instructions, in German), thanks to Edgar.

Quote: "Hi all of you heroes of Outerzone, I can contribute the second (missing) page of the RRG Falke V. I did a basic cleaning, the text is impossible to clean but I think you great modellers have no problem to build it anyway. I love your site for many years, and now I can give a little return for all those great plans! Edgar"

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
