Plan file details

Crosby CR-4 (1938). Rubber scale model racer. Scale subject is the the Crosby CR-4 all-metal Menasco C6S-4 powered 1930's pylon racer, built by Harry Crosby, which competed in 1938 and 1939. Quote: "Thirty years ago the CR-4 was drafted into model form by master modeler Pres Bruning. His drawings, reproduced here, were part of a set of race plane rubber-powered model plans sold in the 1970s by a Detroit area model club, the Cloudbusters. The markings show the CR-4 as it appeared at the 1939 National Air Races. These plans are available on the web at Other airplanes included in the series are the Folkerts SK-2, Floyd Bean, Chambermaid, and Smirnoff Bearcat. The site, maintained by modeler Dave Livesay, features a number of free flight model airplane drawings." - from Direct submission to Outerzone.
